Kitchen Diner Room Extension
The Problem
The brief was to create a modern kitchen extensions that would also act as an entertaining space.
The house had great lighting coming through the back for most of the day and scenic views. We suggested making the most of this by incorporating lots of glass into the extension. Happy with the suggestion we agreed on a design and commenced construction!
The Solution
A new room was added, leading from the kitchen area. They wanted to keep their patio so it was carefully removed for the extension to be added, then laid back down around the area.
A well-lit area was created with large skylights all along the roof. Then we added bi-fold doors, which could open normally for direct access onto the patio or like a concertina, with the whole section opening up into the garden creating a spacious entertaining space
